Discover an enchanting island surrounded by the beautiful Mexican Caribbean Sea that offers lifetime experiences. Known by many as one of the world's top diving and snorkel paradises, Cozumel is home to amazing underwater coral formations, hundreds of different types of tropical fish and a wonderful marine life that extends directly from The Great Maya Barrier Reef, the second largest coral reef system in the world.
Cozumel means in Mayan "Land of the Swallows", and it has a unique history. Mayans believed that the island was sacred, and many religious pilgrimages where made in its honor; a truly magical past. Today Cozumel is one the most important tourist destinations in Mexico. Its town is called San Miguel, and offers a famous International Pier that is port to prestigious Cruise ships that arrive at the island the whole year for shopping and leisure.
Your journey begins as soon as you are picked up at your hotel to go to Playa del Carmen to take the ferry to the Island of the Swallows: Cozumel. You will visit the Dzul-Ha and Paradise reefs that extend directly from the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest coral reef in the world, where you can snorkel and admire the colorful fish, marine life and the stunning coral formations.
